OICS is committed to provide productive programming & quality services for families and individuals from diverse community groups in order to achieve their goals towards successful life in Canada. Our food bank and community kitchen is committed to serve all eligible families and individuals who are challenged by hunger, poverty and homelessness.

OICS Community Kitchen

A common perception of food bank or a community kitchen is to feed the hungry people who are at risk of death, or homelessness. This project however is more than that because we understand that there are many who are often left out due to their unspoken self respect, week economic conditions with growing pressure of raising young children and/or supporting extended families in their home land. Community kitchen and social activity hub for working poor and low income families and individuals.

This is a unique social enterprise project that provides social services hub for many community groups with the sustainable community development which starts from the concept of welfare end ends at farewell.

Under one roof our community in need receives not only the basic and important needs of life such as emergency food and hot meals but also get information, counseling and referral services to solve their day to day social and personal issues; Which results them to become effective contributors of our society.

Through this project we are prepared to serve a large clientele from newcomer groups and many other vulnerable members of society such as seniors, youth, women, children, working poor and new Canadians struggling with their settlement challenges.
